Ankush Talwar

Ankush is an executive leader with 17 years of experience in developing and implementing Data Science and Machine Learning solutions across startups as well as large organizations. He brings diverse industry vertical depth aiding data science teams to solve complex business problems across customer, sales & marketing, logistics and risk domains. He has worked with large matrix teams across the globe and consistently managed to build high impact machine-learning solutions using innovative techniques on large, high dimensionality data sets.

Ankush is very well versed with key ML techniques and setting up data frameworks, analytics use case development & using data science and business process changes to deliver business impact.

In his most recent stint Ankush was the Head of Data Science for one of the world’s largest Media conglomerate, Publicis Media. His mandate here was to lead the development of ML solutions in media measurement and personalized ID level marketing. Prior to Publicis he has worked with Inductis, AMEX, Accenture and Flipkart. These experiences have helped him manage large client engagements across FMCG, BFSI, Telecom, Retail, Ecommerce, and media & entertainment.

The one thing that he is proud of is that he has been able to create substantial Intellectual property along with tangible commercial value for the companies and clients that he has worked for. He has also enabled cross learning and capability building in these organizations to enable larger penetration aiding the growth of data science as a function.

Consumer bureau – Building India’s first consumer bureau predicting consumer spend across categories E.g. Grocery, travel, retail, and fashion

Creating data science solutions leading to +$80mm of incremental revenue for a top 3 retailer

Personalized marketing – Developed a cloud marketing solution with the ability to personalize marketing for +120MM Individuals

Incubated and developed new ML revenue streams taking them from concept to commercialization for digital marketing

An engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, Ankush is an avid stock trader and loves to dabble in chess, fine food and books.
